All Data Captured With Quality Codes From the Enabled Host
Pegasus captures Quality Codes for all Analogs, Accumulators, and Status Points as well as all
Analog Limits. There is nothing additional to configure (or license) for Quality Codes, which are
very important, as they indicate the quality of Telemetered values. Since Analog Limits are
automatically collected by the PDC, no manual Limit definitions are required.
The Pegasus Smart Client can export any SCADA Data with their corresponding Quality Codes,
and for Analogs with their corresponding Limits. The Pegasus Client additionally shows Quality
Codes for all values, using Mouse Over Tool Tips (and optionally, color coding).
Even though Pegasus Data Servers receive all data from both the Enabled and Non-Enabled EMS
Hosts in near real-time, they only permanently store data from the EMS Host with the Enabled
Role. This insures that permanent data storage reflects data as it was viewed by EMS Operators
and processed by EMS Advanced Applications, in real-time.
The Pegasus RDS is read only, captures & permanently stores EMS Host Failover activity, and
permanently stores the full SCADA Metadata Change History which helps Utilities satisfy
requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
